Attorney Discipline and Admission to Practice

Douglas Wilson “Wil” Miller

“I feel it’s a privilege to help clients through what is often the most difficult time in their lives” -Wil Miller

Main practice areas: Collaborative family law, family law litigation, mediation, criminal defense, attorney discipline and admission to practice.

In addition to providing the full spectrum of family law services, Wil is also an experienced criminal defense attorney, a particularly valuable skill when criminal law issues affect families and family law cases.  Wil also handles a limited number of attorney discipline and bar admission cases before the Washington State Bar Association.

Wil joined Story Law in 2017 because of the firm’s excellent reputation for resolving cases in the most psychologically healthy and cost-effective manner for their clients.  Sometimes that means seeking a non-litigative, collaborative solution.  Sometimes it means fighting it out in court.  Either way, Wil has a well-established reputation as a zealous and effective advocate for his clients.

Wil’s previous experience working in the Juvenile Court Unit of the King County Prosecutor’s Office, along with his work as an assistant district attorney handling sex crimes and domestic violence cases in New York City, give Wil a special understanding of human nature and the ability to find solutions to complex problems others might miss.

Recent Community & Civic Leadership: Secretary - Board of Directors, QLAW Foundation; Chair – Continuing Legal Education Committee – Washington State Bar Association.
